Nutritionist Munmun Ganeriwal’s smoothie recipe which actor Rakul Preet Singh has post workout, is not just healthy but delicious as well. Loaded with healthy ingredients, this smoothie can be a value addition to anyone’s diet.
What else? It’s super easy to make. You don’t need hi-fi kitchen gadgets to prepare this.
- 1 cup of milk, any nut milk basically
- 1 cup of water
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
- 1 banana, properly chopped (she has used elaichi banana; the smaller variety of banana)
- 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch of cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoon of honey

How to prepare it?
- In a blender, take the milk, and add the water.
- Add the scoop of protein to it
- Add the chopped bananas and blend everything to a smooth paste
- Pour the content into a glass
- Add a pinch of cardamom powder and cinnamon powder to this.
- For extra sweetness one can also add 1 tablespoon of honey
To a user’s comment on whether one can take fruits along with whey protein post workout for breakfast, Ganeriwal replies, “the best time to eat fruits is 10am to 5pm.”
To another comment on triphala water which is commonly used in Indian households given its Ayurvedic benefits, Ganeriwal has also shared an important piece of information.
“Hi Munmun, just had a query. I have started phase 1 and taking triphala with warm water every morning empty stomach. But I puke within 15-20 minutes after taking triphala. Rest herbs are all ok no reactions, only with triphala. Is this normal??”
The reply: “Hi, it doesn’t happen with everyone. In your case, it means there’s lot of inflammation and mucus which is being expelled out. In a way, for you, it’s a good sign. It will not go on like this forever, after few days, when there’s no more to clear, throwing up will stop. However, if you do not like this process, then you can mix triphala with honey and then have it in the morning, after 10 mins, you can have warm water. Consuming this way, you will not throw up. Hope it helps.”
