OFFENSE GETS WORKOUT ON DAY TWO OF MINICAMP

Another day of minicamp for the Steelers yesterday and coach Mike Tomlin said they worked on situational ball, specifically possession downs, third downs, red zone plays and the two-minute offense.

Tomlin says the camp is a great learning experience for a team that has seen a lot of change in the offseason.

The biggest story of the preseason for the Steelers will be the quarterback situation, with newcomers Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett competing with holdover Mason Rudolph for the starting job.  Trubisky has gotten the most attention at minicamp and he says he is preparing as if he will take the snaps when the season begins.

Offensive coordinator Matt Canada says Trubisky has been fun to work with, but so have Rudolph and Pickett.

The three-day mandatory minicamp concludes today.  Training camp begins July 27th in Latrobe.
