Sweetwater summer workout schedule announced | Sports

All Sweetwater athletes who are entering grades 7-12 will be expected to maintain a certain level of fitness through the summer months. Strength and conditioning training provides a smooth transition into fall workouts along with injury prevention. The Sweetwater coaching staff will be present to instruct these athletes. Boys and girls workouts will take place most weeks through July from Monday through Thursday at the high school weight room, which is located at the field house on the north end of Mustang Bowl.

The schedule is as follows: 8-8:45 a.m. — boys high school lifting; 8:45-9:15 — boys high school and middle school conditioning; 9-10:30 a.m. — girls lifting followed by conditioning and skills training; 9:30-10:30 a.m. — boys skills training in football, basketball and baseball; 10:30-11:15 a.m. — boys middle school lifting.
